Here we go round and round, again and again. We sure seem awfully busy but it feels like we aren't really getting anything done. As I type this, I've just posted the ezine and Lisa's cleaning a lake house down the street, the sink is full of dirty dishes and the dryer just buzzed for the third time *sigh* so, alright already, I'll stop and get the stuff out of the dryer... 'scuse.
Ok, the towels and washclothes are all neatly folded, now where was I? Oh yeah, I've got to mow the lawn at the lake house where Lisa's cleaning, before the owners get here Saturday. I don't like to mow it early in the week because then it looks like it needs mowing when they get here; I prefer to mow it on Thursday or Friday but today (Thursday) it rained and there a good chance it'll rain again tomorrow. That'll create conflicting emotions for me. I hate to mow but I'd feel guilty if I didn't only if it rains and there's no way I can mow I'll be happy only I'll feel guilty because I don't feel guilty. See what I mean? Anyway, I hope it doesn't rain.
I saw one of these somewhere and thought it was interesting so I made one for myself. What do you think?

That's it for me. Moving right along...
Lisa says:
It's a Texas Thing

It really is. When this couple bought their home on Shaw Island, TX, the property attached needed to be filled and leveled. That done, the granite gravel and soil imported from the lakebed was fertile, but ugly. This area of Texas is famed for, and mad about, wildflowers so the owner seeded the field with a wildflower mix, pressed it gently into the soil with a pipe on chains pulled by a tractor, and stood back and watched the fall rains start the magic. This spring has been one of the wettest in many years, all the natives are claiming they have never seen the abundance and variety of wildflowers they have this year. This generous homeowner turned a liability into an asset all of his neighbors can enjoy, and he did it on a grand scale.
It's a Texas thing, but if you like you can borrow it. Spread the love :-D
