I've been working on mysteries without any clues.   My brother Bill sent me a really cool email with these images in it and I've been going nuts trying to find the artist who created the images.   Why?   It bothers me that I can show them to people and say "Isn't this cool!"but if they reply "Wow, who did these?" I have to answer "Gee, I don't know.".

Ok, there's more to it than that; I like to give credit where it's due and this artist really deserves credit because they are extremely cool images.   So, if you know who created them please let me know.

Speaking of cool images that I can't credit the artist for, here's another one I really liked but have no idea who created.

Image labeled: Drink Cofee Do Stupid Things Faster with More Energy artist: unknown

I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure that the next image was created by Andy Rutledge and it's one that Lisa and I got a good laugh out of.   Check it out.

I've been hanging onto these images for weeks now, intending to post them and I've just never gotten it done.   Right now, it's a little after one in the morning and I've just gotten the ezine posted. I didn't have anything prepared for this page and my mind is a little foggy from sleep deprivation.   I decided that the images I've been hoarding would have to be content enough this time so I hope you enjoy them.   the last one is the logo image for the San Antonio Texas, Linux User's Group (the image is also clickable).

The first day of Spring is March 24, but I'm bursting at the seams.   Because of a household disaster I got a jump on spring.   The pipes under the house leaked and slowly flooded the yard, protecting the lawn and plants from the worst of the winter cold.   I have the first irises in the area, but since the whole house had to be replumbed, they were very expensive free flowers.   I only lost one plant, a rose bush that was cracked off below the graft, so it must have been stepped on by a deer.   A smaller animal would have torn up the rose bed once it became entangled in thorns, but at least there was no other damage.

Today I started classes to become a Texas Master Gardener.   The program is provided by Texas Cooperative extension of Texas A&M University.   Master Gardeners are volunteers who receive 50 hours of instruction, pass an exam and volunteer 50 hours of horticultural-based community service within the next year.   In order to retain the title, you must take an additional 6 hours of recertification training and provide 12 hours of volunteer service each year.   Class is fast, fun, informative and full of nice people.

I moved to Texas 2 1/2 years ago and up until then was a rather frustrated gardener.   Gardening in Florida was a struggle.   Sand for soil, incredibly high humidity, fungal, bacterial and viral diseases made it virtually impossible to avoid toxic chemicals to which I have a low tolerance.   The area in which we live has a variety of soils, but for the most part it IS soil and that's a good start.   The next year is going to be very exciting, I'll be doing what I love, playing in dirt and learning every day.   How hard is that?

'Til next time,

Lisa
